Fall recruitment isn’t built in August. It’s built in May, June, and July, in the quiet months when some chapters and councils may not even be thinking about it yet.
That’s the gap we want to help you close.
Over the last quarter, we’ve rolled out a series of updates across ChapterBuilder and the rest of the Phired Up tech stack, all built around the same idea: the systems you set up now are the systems that show up for you when it counts. Bid day goes smoothly when your tech, data, and teams are already in order. That work happens in spring and summer, not the week before.
Here’s what’s new this quarter, and how to actually put it to work before fall.
You can now call leads directly from the ChapterBuilder mobile app. That means, no switching apps, no manual dialing, no losing momentum between conversations. Calls route through your ChapterBuilder number (not your personal phone), and every call is automatically logged with space to add notes the moment you hang up.
Why it matters: Recruitment outreach often becomes inconsistent not because chapters don’t care, but because the process creates unnecessary hurdles and pain points. Cutting the steps between thinking about calling a lead and actually calling them directly increases follow-through, and keeps your outreach data clean without anyone having to remember to log it.
Put it to work this spring: Get your recruitment chair and lead recruiters into the updated app this month so they’re already in the habit by August.
Type “@” inside any note or comment, tag a teammate, and they get notified instantly. Recruitment notes become real conversations instead of static updates sitting in the platform waiting for someone to find them.
Why it matters: The number of leads that get lost between “I had a great convo with her” and “did anyone follow up with her?” is staggering. Real-time tagging closes that gap without requiring another standing meeting on anyone’s calendar.
Put it to work now: Pick one workflow — bid list discussions, PNM follow-ups, or transfer reviews — and move that conversation into ChapterBuilder notes. You’ll feel the difference in two weeks.
New features matter, but they only matter if your setup is in shape to use them.
The goal isn’t simply to organize data. It’s to create a system where every potential member receives consistent, intentional follow-up from people who care about building a relationship with them.
That’s why the work you do now matters. The systems you build this summer create the foundation for the conversations, experiences, and connections that drive growth in the fall.
Here’s what your team should be doing across the platform right now, broken down by product, with links to everything you need.

These updates weren’t designed to replace the human side of recruitment. They were designed to support it.
Here’s the thing about tech: it doesn’t grow your chapter. People do.
But the right systems — set up early, used intentionally — give your people the room to do their best work. They cut down on the chaos. They make data feel like a tool, not a chore. They let your recruitment team focus on conversations instead of spreadsheets.
The partners who walk into fall feeling prepared are rarely starting from scratch. They’ve used the spring and summer months to organize their systems, align their teams, and create space for meaningful conversations when recruitment begins.
If you want a second set of eyes on your setup before fall — or a walkthrough of any of these updates with your team — that’s exactly what your CSM is here for. And every Tuesday and Friday, we host Tech Training & Live Support, drop in anytime.
Let’s make this the smoothest fall you’ve ever had.
